Satomi Ishihara is cast in movie “Missing.” The film, written and directed by Keisuke Yoshida (“Himeanole“), has Satomi Ishihara playing wife and mother Saori. Her daughter goes missing while she is attending a concert. Rumors about her spread on the internet because of this and her marriage begins to suffer.
“Missing” will be released next year in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: A little girl goes missing while walking down a street. 3 months pass and there’s no clues on her whereabouts. When the girl went missing, her mother Saori (Satomi Ishihara) went to watch a live performance by her favorite idol. That fact and rumors about Saori begin to spread on the internet. The rumors about her get provocatively worse with each passing day. Moreover, Saori feels her husband is getting cold to her. This leads them to fight endlessly. As time passes, the attention of the major media begins to fade on the missing girl case and only a local broadcasting station continues to cover the case. But ….
