Masaki Okada & Kaya Kiyohara cast in movie “My Missing Valentine”

Masaki Okada & Kaya Kiyohara are cast in movie “My Missing Valentine” directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita (“Linda Linda Linda“). The film is a remake of 2020 Taiwanese film “My Missing Valentine” directed by Chen Yu-Hsun. The Japanese remake film is scripted by Kankuro Kudo and he has switched the genders of the two main characters from the original film. In the original Taiwanese film, the female lead was always a second faster than everyone else and works at the post office. The male lead was a second slower than everyone else. In the remake, Masaki Oakada will play a young man who is a second faster than everyone else and Kaya Kiyohara will play a young woman who is a second slower than everyone else.

“My Missing Valentine” will be released summer, 2023 in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in Kyoto, Japan, a love story takes place between Hajime (Masaki Okada) and Reika (Kaya Kiyohara). Hajime is a handsome young man, who is usually a second quicker than everyone else and straightforward. He works at the post office. Reika is a young woman, who is usually a step slower than everyone else. After Valentine’s Day, Hajime wakes up and is unable to remember what happened that day.
