Main trailer and poster added for live-action film “Whisper of the Heart” starring Nana Seino & Tori Matsuzaka. Movie is based on manga series “Mimi o Sumaseba” by Aoi Hiiragi and directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa (“Erased“). The movie’s theme song has also been revealed as “Tsubasa wo Kudasai” by actress Anne Watanabe . Theme song “Tsubasa wo Kudasai” is played during the main trailer video.
“Whisper of the Heart” will be released October 14, 2022 in Japan. The movie’s original release date was September 18, 2020, but the outbreak of Covid-19 caused its delay.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Shizuku Tsukishima (Runa Yasuhara) is a 3rd grade middle school student. She likes reading books. Shizuku Tsukishima meets Seiji Amasawa (Tsubasa Nakagawa). He is in the same grade and school that Shizuku Tsukishima attends. At first, she does not like him, but she becomes fascinated with his pursuit of his dream. Seiji Amasawa also knows Shizuku Tsukishima’s dream is to become a novelist. They vow to each other to achieve their dreams.
10 years later, Shizuku Tsukishima (Nana Seino) is 24 years old. She gave up her dream of becoming a novelist and now works as an editor for a publishing company that specializes in children’s books. She struggles in her daily life at work. Meanwhile, Seiji Amasawa (Tori Matsuzaka) is abroad and still pursuing his dream.
