Main trailer added for movie “Onoda” starring Yuya Endo & Kanji Tsuda. Movie is based on the true story of Japanese soldier Hiroo Onoda. Towards the end of World War II, he was sent to the Philippines. Even after the surrender of Japan in the war, Hiroo Onoda hid in the Philippines mountains and held out for 29 more years.
“Onoda” had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will have its domestic release October 8, 2021 in Japan.
