Yuta Tamamori (Kis-My-Ft2) and Anne Nakamura are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Nice Flight.” The drama series features an original screenplay by Rin Eto (“Nodame Cantabile“). For the drama series, Yuta Tamamori will play Sui Kurata. He is the co-pilot for a commercial airline and falls in love with an air traffic controller just from listening to her voice. That air traffic controller is played by Anne Nakamura. The drama series will be set around Haneda Airport and involve the cooperation of Japan Airlines. The theme song for the drama series will also be performed by boy band Kis-My-Ft2.
“Nice Flight” will first air July, 2022 in Japan (takes over TV Asahi’s Friday 11:15 PM time slot after “Mr. Housekeeper, Mitazono Season 5“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Sui Kurata (Yuta Tamamori) is a 30-year-old man, who is honest and kind to people. He first went on an airplane when he was middle school student. After that, he has always wanted to become an airplane pilot. Finally, after going through rigorous training, he has been promoted as the first officer for an airline. One day, as the first officer of the flight, he experiences a difficult time because of bad weather. Due to the excellent work of a female air traffic controller, Sui Kurata and the captain are able to land the plane safely at Haneda Airport. Since then, even though he doesn’t know her name or what she looks like, Sui Kurata has fallen in love with the air traffic controller just by listening to her voice.
The female air traffic controller, who Sui Kurata is in love with, is Mayu Shibuya (Anne Nakamura). As an air traffic controller, she has the skills to respond quickly to emergency situations with a cool and calm, but precise manner. Although she excels in her job as an air traffic controller, her social skills are not nearly as good. She has difficulty with expressing her feelings to others and does not feel comfortable hanging out with others. Suddenly, Sui Kurata appears in front of her and approaches her.
