Yudai Chiba & Kento Nagayama cast in WOWOW drama “Double”

Yudai Chiba and Kento Nagayama are cast in WOWOW drama series “Double.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Double” by Ayako Noda. The two lead actors will play stage actors in a teacher and student relationship. Once the student achieves success, the dynamics of their relationship changes.

“Double” will consist of 10 episodes and first air June 4, 2022 in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Takara Takarada (Yudai Chiba) works for a company. On a rainy day, he walks helplessly without an umbrella. Somehow, he watches a stage play performed by theatrical troupe Eiyu. Takara Takarada becomes touched by Yujin Kamoshima’s (Kento Nagayama) performance. Afterwards, Takara Takarada decides to quit his job and become an actor. He also joins theatrical troupe Eiyu.

Yujin Kamoshima begins to teach Takara Takarada. He realizes that Takara Takarada has talent as an actor and he hopes he becomes successful. At the same time, Yujin Kamoshima also wants become successful as an actor.

With Yujin Kamoshima’s support, Takara Takarada develops as an actor and becomes popular. This changes the relationship between Takara Takarada and Yujin Kamoshima.
