Taiga Kyomoto & Sakura Fujiwara are cast in NTV live-action drama series “Tsuka no Ma no Ichika.” The drama series is based on manga series “Tsuka no Ma no Ichika” by Natsu Tadano. The melodrama-romance story will have Taiga Kyomoto playing university professor Akifumi Yurugi and Sakura Fujiwara play university student Ichika Sendawara. About three years ago, Ichika Sendawara was told she only had 2 years left to live.
“Tsuka no Ma no Ichika” will first air October, 2022 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Monday 2AM time slot after “Keshigomu wo Kureta Joshi wo Suki ni Natta“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: When Ichika Sendawara (Sakura Fujiwara) was in the 2nd grade of high school, a doctor told her she only had two years left to live. More than two years has passed since that diagnosis. Ichika Sendawara is now a university student. She spends her days not knowing if this will be her last day. Akifumi Yurugi enjoys attending Akifumi Yurugi’s (Taiga Kyomoto) philosophy class. Akifumi Yurugi’s class is popular, but the students don’t pay attention to his lectures. Ichika Sendawara though listens attentively. He often talks about the meaning of life and its importance. Ichika Sendawara and Akifumi Yurugi slowly get closer, but Akifumi Yurugi suddenly quits his job at the university and disappears. One day, Ichika Sendawara meets Akifumi Yurugi again and she hopes to continue their relationship, but Akifumi Yurugi tells her something unexpected.
