Ryoma Takeuchi is cast in TV Asahi drama series “Roppongi Class.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Itaewon Class” by Jo Gwang-Jin, which was previously adapted into 2020 JTBC drama series “Itaewon Class” starring Park Seo-Joon & Kim Da-Mi. The TV Asahi version will be a joint collaboration with South Korean production company SLL (which produced JTBC’s “Itaewon Class”), Kakao Entertainment, and Kross Pictures. The backdrop of the drama series will be Roponggi, Tokyo and like Itaewon, Seoul is an area of the capital city known for its multi-cultural influence and bustling nightlife.
“Roppongi Class” will first air July, 2022 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in the Roppongi area of Tokyo, Shin Miyabe (Ryoma Takeuchi) lives an ordinary life with his father. Due to a case, caused by the son of a family that owns the country’s largest franchise restaurant Nagaya Holdings, Shin Miyabe’s life completely changes. The owner of Nagaya Holdings uses his power to cover up his son’s crime. Shin Miyabe falls into complete despair. He then decides to take revenge on Nagaya Holdings. His goal in life is now to make the son and father of Nagaya Holdings pay for what they did.
