Motoki Nakazawa and Toranosuke Kobayashi cast in TV Tokyo drama “I Hear the Sunspot”

Motoki Nakazawa and Toranosuke Kobayashi are cast in TV Tokyo live-action drama series “I Hear the Sunspot” (literal title). The drama series is based on manga series “Hidamari ga Kikoeru” by Yuki Akaneda, which was previously adapted into 2017 movie “Silhouette of Your Voice” starring Hideya Tawada and Akira Onodera. In the upcoming TV Tokyo version, Motoki Nakazawa and Toranosuke Kobayashi will play two university students who strike up a friendship that grows into something more.

“I Hear the Sunspot” first airs July 3, 2024 in Japan (takes over TV Tokyo’s Wednesday 24:30 time slot after “Sukina Otoko to Wakaretai“).

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kohei Sugihara (Motoki Nakazawa) is a first grade university student. Since he experienced hearing loss, he has kept a distance from others and he has spent his time quietly alone. One day, Kohei Sugihara meets Taichi Sagawa (Toranosuke Kobayashi), who is bright and straightforward. After Kohei Sugihara gives his lunch box to Taichi Sagawa, who is hungry, he returns the favor by volunteering to do note-taking for Kohei Sugihara. Since then, they get close to each other.
