Kouhei Matsushita is cast in NTV live-action drama series “Houkago Karte.” The drama series is based on manga series “Houkago Karte” by Mayu Hinase. For “Houkago Karte,” Kouhei Matsushita will play a pediatrician who is stationed at an elementary school. He often complains and carries attitude, but he is good at his job.
“Houkago Karte” will first air October, 2024 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Sunday 9PM time slot after “Going Home: Cops for the Lost“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Teacher Makino (Kouhei Matsushita) works in the health room at an elementary school as a pediatrician. He used to work at a university hospital, but, due to a new attempt to have doctors stationed at schools, he was sent to the elementary school. There is hidden story behind that.
At the school, he has bushy hair and a sullen look. He nags to the students things like “Don’t sleep in the bed without my permission” and “Stay away from the health room as much as possible.” He is a doctor that complains a lot and carries an attitude, but he can spot abnormalities in children with his excellent observational eyes and he is able to save these children, their families, and sometimes even the teachers.
