Kazuya Kamenashi cast in WOWOW drama “Game no Na wa Yukai”

Kazuya Kamenashi is cast in WOWOW drama series “Game no Na wa Yukai.” The drama series is based on mystery novel “Game no Na wa Yukai” by Keigo Higashino, which was previously adapted into 2003 movie “G@me” starring Naohito Fujiki and Yukie Nakama. In the WOWOW drama series version, Kazuya Kamenashi will play advertising company employee Shunsuke Sakuma. His ego takes a hit, when the vice president of a car company kicks him off a project that the ad company is working on. He gets a chance to get revenge when he meets the vice president’s daughter.

“Game no Na wa Yukai” will consist of 4 episodes and will air June, 2024 in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Shunsuke Sakuma (Kazuya Kamenashi) works with numerous clients as a planner for an advertising agency. He is somewhat of a mysterious man and popular with women. He deals with his work and his personal life in the same manner, like he is playing a game. He is currently working on a large project involving a car company. The project is progressing well, but he is suddenly excluded from the project by the car company’s vice president, Katsutoshi Katsuragi. Shunsuke Sakuma’s pride is wounded from his exclusion and he becomes extremely upset at that. He happens to meet Juri Katsuragi, who is Katsutoshi Katsuragi’s daughter. She also holds a grudge against her father. Shunsuke Sakuma and Juri Katsuragi decides to team up to get revenge. They take part in a kidnapping game.
