Haruka Kinami and Mahiro Takasugi are cast in Fuji TV drama series “Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen de.” The fantasy romance drama series is based on webcomic “Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen de” by Akiyo Kurosawa, which will be published from March, 2026. Planning for the webcomic and drama series was developed jointly to give two different interpretations on a story revolving around a woman in a repressive relationship and finding her escape in cooking and love.
“Konya, Himitsu no Kitchen de” will first air April, 2026 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Thursday 10PM time slot after “Professional: Insurance Investigator Ren Amane.”
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ayumi Tsubokura (Haruka Kinami) is a former actress, but she nows lives with her husband Wataru, who is a businessman and runs popular restaurants, and a daughter from Wataru’s previous marriage. Ayumi Tsubokura is viewed by others as a housewife with a wealthy and happy family, but she suffers from emotional abuse from her husband. The only place where she feels comfort is in her kitchen, where she can be alone and not bothered by anyone. One day, Italian chef Kei (Mahiro Takasugi) appears in front of Ayumi Tsubokura.
