Hana Sugisaki is cast in Fuji TV-KTV drama series “Unmet.” The live-action drama series is based on manga “Unmet” by Yuzuru Kojika. The original author of the manga is a former brain surgeon and her experience in that field lays out the groundwork for screenplay. Hana Sugisaki will play Miyabi Kawauchi. She was a promising neurosurgeon, but she got into an accident that caused her to lose her memory. She then meets Tomoharu Sanpei, who is himself an eccentric neurosurgeon.
“Unmet” will first air April, 2024 in Japan (takes over Fuji TV’s Monday 10 PM time slot after “When Spring Comes“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Miyabi Kawauchi (Hana Sugisaki) was once a promising neurosurgeon, but an accident caused damage to Miyabi’s brain. She is unable to remember the past 2 years of her life and she will forget everything that happened today when she wakes up the next day. She has all but given up on becoming a doctor and works as an assistant nurse. One day, Neurosurgeon Tomoharu Sanpei appears in front of her. He is known as an eccentric person. Tomoharu Sanpei guides Miyabi Kawauchi at his own pace, regardless of her will. This actually helps Miyabi Kawauchi as a doctor and a patient. The mystery hidden in her missing memories is gradually revealed, which contains a secret.
