Eiko Koike cast in NTV drama “Kotatsu ga Nai Ie”

Eiko Koike is cast in NTV drama series “Kotatsu ga Nai Ie.” The drama series is setup as family-comedy and is scripted by Shigeki Kaneko (“Life’s Punchline“) and directed by Satoru Nakajima (“RemoteLove“) & Syunpei Maruya (“RemoteLove“). The drama series is also the first starring role for Eiko Koike in a prime time series. For “Kotatsu ga Nai Ie,” Eiko Koike will play successful wedding planner Marie Fukabori. Although she is successful at work, at home she is surrounded by three loser males at home.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Marie Fukabori (Eiko Koike) is a legendary wedding planner. She runs her own company and is respected by the workers there. She works hard & energetically at her job, but, at home, she is surrounded by 3 losers. They are her husband, son, and father. Her husband is an unpopular manga artist. Her son dreams of becoming an idol, but he has failed at his auditions and is now distrustful of people. Her father was informed that he was getting divorced and came to Marie Fukabori’s home.
