Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won cast in Disney+ drama “Han River”

Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won, Lee Sang-Yi, Bae Da-Bin, and Shin Hyun-Seung are cast in Disney+ drama series “Han River” (literal title). The drama series will be set at a police station along the Han River. Kwon Sang-Woo, Kim Hee-Won, Bae Da-Bin, and Shin Hyun-Seung will play police officers who work there. Lee Sang-Yi will play Go Gi-Seok, who isn’t a police officer.

“Han River” will be available to stream sometime in the second half of this year.

Song Hye-Kyo & Han So-Hee cast in drama “The Price of Confession”

Song Hye-Kyo and Han So-Hee are cast in drama series “The Price of Confession” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Sim Na-Yeon (“Beyond Evil“) and scripted by Kwon Jong-Kwan (“Sad Movie“). Han So-Hee hinted at the casting yesterday, when Song Hye-Kyo posted photos of herself on Instagram from “The Glory Part 2” and Han So-Hee left a comment on her post in Korean that stated “Now it’s mine.”

Release date and broadcast network for “The Price of Confession” has not yet been decideed.

First script reading for SBS drama “Dr. Romantic 3”

First script reading for SBS drama series “Dr. Romantic 3” starring Han Suk-Kyu, Ahn Hyo-Seop, & Lee Sung-Kyung, took place October, 2022 in South Korea. Attending the first script reading included Han Suk-Kyu, Ahn Hyo-Seop, Lee Sung-Kyung, Kim Joo-Hun, So Ju-Yeon, Jin Kyung, Lim Won-Hee, Byeon Woo-Min, Yoon Na-Moo, Shin Dong-Wook, Ko Sang-Ho, Yoon Bo-Ra, Jung Ji-Ahn, Lee Sin-Young, & Lee Hong-Nae, who are all reprising roles from Dr. Romantic 2. Playing new characters in season 3 and attending the first script reading were Lee Sin-Young and Lee Hong-Nae. Actor Kim Min-Jae, who appeared in the first two seasons of “Dr. Romantic,” did not attend the first script reading due to scheduling issues, but will appear in season 3. Han Suk-Kyu stated during the first script reading “I want to make season 3 fun again with you guys. Thank you for making season 3.”

“Dr. Romantic 3” will first air April, 2023 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday & Saturday 10PM time slot after “Taxi Driver 2“).

Park Hyung-Sik & Park Shin-Hye cast in JTBC drama “Dr. Slump”

Park Hyung-Sik & Park Shin-Hye are cast in JTBC drama series “Dr. Slump.” Park Hyung-Sik & Park Shin-Hye previously worked together in 2013 SBS drama series “The Heirs.” “Dr. Slump” features a romantic-comedy script between two people who work in the medical field and find their lives are in a slump. Yoon Park and Kong Seong-Ha are also cast in supporting roles.

The first script reading took place March 4, 2023 and filming for the drama series is set to begin soon.

Narration in the teaser trailer states (0:02) Jang Hyuk “Anyone,” (0:05) Jang Na-Ra “Them,” (0:07) Jang Hyuk “Can’t Stop.” The family-comedy drama series follows a married couple. The husband, played by Jang Hyuk, is a secret agent.

“Family: The Unbreakable Bond” is now set to first air April 17, 2023 (takes over tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 9PM time slot after “Our Blooming Youth“).

Chae Jong-Hyeop cast in drama “Diva of the Deserted Island”

Chae Jong-Hyeop is cast in drama series “Diva of the Deserted Island” (literal title) co-starring Park Eun-Bin & Kim Hyo-Jin. For the drama series, Chae Jong-Hyeop will play lead male character Kang Bo-Geol. He works as a PD for a TV music variety show. While doing volunteer activity, he happens to find Seo Mok-Ha (Park Eun-Bin) on a deserted island and rescues her. Chae Jong-Hyeop previously worked with Park Eun-Bin in 2019 SBS drama series “Hot Stove League.”

“Diva of the Deserted Island” will first air sometime later this year in South Korea.

First teaser trailer for JTBC drama series “Dr. Cha” starring Uhm Jung-Hwa & Kim Byung-Chul. Captions in the teaser trailer states (0:07) “You, who still have fireworks left in your heart” and (0:“11) “This is the beginning.” Uhm Jung-Hwa then states “Believe it or not, I’m a doctor. I know from now on I’m going to have completely different life.” In the drama series, Uhm Jung-Hwa plays a housewife, who decides to resume her medical career after 20 years.

“Dr. Cha” first airs April 15, 2023 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after “Divorce Attorney Shin“).

Jeon Hye-Jin & Sooyoung cast in drama “Namnam”

Jeon Hye-Jin, Sooyoung, Ahn Jae-Wook, & Park Sung-Hoon are cast in new drama series “Namnam.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Namnam” by Jung Young-Rong, which is published via Kakao. The comedy-drama script will have Jeon Hye-Jin and Sooyoung play mother and daughter who still live together. Ahn Jae-Wook will play a doctor and Park Sung-Hoon will play a police officer, who works with Sooyoung’s character at a police substation.

Release date is scheduled for sometime in the second half of this year.
