Bona is cast for the lead role in TVING drama series “Pyramid Game.” Also cast in supporting roles are Jang Da-A, Yoo Da-In, Kang Na-Eon, Jeong Ha-Dam, Shin Seul-Ki, and Ha Yul-Ri. The drama series is based on webcomic “Pyramid Game” by Dalggonyak. The story for “Pyramid Game” is set at an all girls’ high school where a pyramid game takes place that makes one student the target of school bullying. Bona will play a transfer student who becomes the next target.
“Pyramid Game” will be available to stream sometime next year in South Korea.

Kim Nam-Joo is cast for the lead role in new drama series “Wonderful World.” For Kim Nam-Joo, “Wonderful World” will be her first acting role since 2018 JTBC drama series “Misty.” “Wonderful World” will be directed by Lee Seung-Young (“Tracer“/”Voice 2“) and scripted by Kim Ji-Eun (“Lie After Lie“). Actors Cha Eun-Woo and Kim Kang-Woo have been offered major supporting characters roles and they are currently considering their offers. The drama series is setup as a healing story of people who were harmed by crimes.
“Wonderful World” is expected to air sometime in the first half of 2024 in South Korea.

Kim Ha-Neul and Rain are cast in new Disney+ drama series “Hwain Family Scandal” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Park Hong-Kyun (“The Great Queen Seondeok“) and scripted by Choi Yoon-Jung (“Only Love“). In “Hwain Family Scandal,” Kim Ha-Neul will play Wan-Soo. She runs a charity foundation and is married to a chaebol successor. Rain will play Bodyguard Do-Yoon. The two main characters come across a secret held by Wan-Soo’s wealthy in-laws.
Airdates for “Hwain Family Scandal” has not yet been decided.

Jung Woo and Bae Hyun-Sung are cast in JTBC drama series “Miracle Brothers” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Park Chan-Hong and scripted by Kim Ji-Woo. The duo of Park Chan-Hong and Kim Ji-Woo have worked together for over 20 years with such titles as “Over the Green Fields,” “Don’t Look Back : The Legend of Orpheus,” and “Memory.” The screenplay for “Miracle Brothers” will have Jung Woo playing a hot-tempered fledgling writer and Bae Hyun-Sung a mysterious young man with a special ability .
“Miracle Brothers” will first air June 28, 2023 in South Korea (takes over JTBC’s Wednesday and Thursday 10:30 PM time slot after “The Good Bad Mother.”).
