Fuka Koshiba cast in NTV drama “Go Home”

Fuka Koshiba is cast for the led role in NTV drama series “Go Home.” The drama series features an original screenplay that is scripted by Hiroyuki Yatsu (“Mr. Housekeeper, Mitazono“) & Tomoharu Sato (“Medium“). Fuka Koshiba will play warm, but eccentric Sakura Mita. She works in the unidentified bodies department at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Along with her coworker Makoto Tsukimoto, she tries to identify the deceased corpses using the clues that are left behind by them.

“Go Home” first airs July, 2024  in Japan.

Han So-Hee & Jun Jong-Seo cast in drama “Project Y”

Han So-Hee and Jun Jong-Seo are cast in new drama series “Project Y” (working title). The drama series is setup as a crime noir and directed by Lee Hwan (“Park Hwa-Young“). Filming is slated to begin sometime in the second half of this year, but release date or broadcast network/ott platform has not yet been decided. Production company Climax Studio (“My Name“/”Gyeongseong Creature“) is in charge of production.

Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Ji-Eun, Jung Gun-Joo, & Jae Chan are cast in Channel A drama series “Check-in Hanyang.”

Bae In-Hyuk, Kim Ji-Eun, Jung Gun-Joo, & Jae Chan are cast in Channel A drama series “Check-in Hanyang.” Drama series will be directed by Myung Hyun-Woo (“The 3rd Hospital“). Story for “Check-in Hanyang” is set during the Joseon period and has the four leads playing interns at the nation’s largest guesthouse. The story develops as a coming of age story with romance.

Filming for “Check-in Hanyang” will begin soon, but airing date has not yet been decided.

Lead cast announced for SBS drama “The Fiery Priest 2”

Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Ha-Nee, Kim Sung-Kyun, and Bibi are cast in sequel SBS drama series “The Fiery Priest 2.” The drama series is a sequel to popular 2019 SBS drama series “The Fiery Priest,” which received TV ratings up to 24.7%. Kim Nam-Gil, Lee Ha-Nee, Kim Sung-Kyun will reprise their roles of hot tempered Priest Kim Hae-Il, Prosecutor Park Kyung-Sun, and Detective Gu Dae-Young. Singer-actress Bibi will play new character Gu Ja-Young. She works as a detective on an anti-drug team in Busan.

“The Fiery Priest 2” will first air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Teaser trailer and character posters added for Netflix drama series “The 8 Show” starring Ryu Jun-Yeol, Chun Woo-Hee, & Park Jeong-Min. In “The 8 Show,” 8 people take part in a sweet, but brutal show for a prize of 44.8 billion won ($32 million USD). Each of the contestants are locked in a secret room on different floors of an 8 story building. The character posters reveal where the stay.

Two teaser posters added for SBS drama series “Connection” starring Ji Sung & Jeon Mi-Do. The drama series follow a detective played by Ji Sung and a newspaper reporter played by Jeon Mi-Do, as they investigate a case that involves the detectives being forced to become a drug addict. The solo poster of Ji Sung as Jang Jae-Kyeong states “I’m a drug-catching cop,  not a drug-using cop.” The solo poster of Jeon Mi-Do as Oh Yoon-Jin states “That’s the major league, but my life has always been in the minor league.”
