Yoo Seung-Ho is cast in new MBC drama series “Ruler: Master of the Mask” (literal title). The drama series is set in the 1700’s and Yoo Seung-Ho will play historical figure Crown Price Lee Sun. His character goes up against a powerful and wealthy group that has privatized water throughout Joseon. He is also in love with a woman Ga-Eun who helps him grow as a ruler.
Filming for “Ruler: Master of the Mask” begins December, 2016.
Oh Ji-Ho & Oh Yoon-Ah are cast for the lead roles in KBS2 drama series “Oh My Geum-Bi” (literal title). The drama series has the early working title of “My Fair Lady.” The drama series will have Oh Ji-Ho playing Mo Hwi-Chul. He is a swindler. He has an 8-year-old daughter played by Heo Jung-Eum. His daughter has dementia and she is losing her memory. Oh Yoon-Ah will play Jang Joo-Young. She becomes involved with the father and daughter.
“Oh My Geum-Bi” will first air November 30, 2016 in South Korea (taking over KBS2’s Wednesday and Thursday 10PM time slot after “On the Way to the Airport“).

Namgung Min offered the lead role in upcoming MBC drama series “Traitor Hong Gil-Dong” (literal title). If he accepts he will play title character Hong Gil-Dong. Currently, Namgung Min is “positively considering” the offer. His character is a revolutionary and dissident during the Joseon era.
“Traitor Hong Gil-Dong” will first air around March, 2017 in South Korea (will air Mondays and Tuesdays at 10PM after “Night Light“).
Teaser posters added for KBS2 drama series “The Sound of Heart” starring Lee Kwang-Soo & Jung So-Min. The drama series is based on webcomic “Maeumui Sori” by Jo Suk and will depict the real life of cartoonist Jo Suk (played by Lee Kwang-Soo).
“The Sound of Heart” first airs this December in South Korea.

Baek Jin-Hee has been offered the lead female role in upcoming MBC drama series “Missing 9.” She is currently “positively considering” the offer. If Baek Jin-Hee accepts the offer, she will play Ra Bong-Hee. Her mother worked as a diver. She learned how to swim from her mother. She now works as a stylist for Seo Joon-O. Actor Jung Kyoung-Ho is currently considering an offer to play the lead male role. The drama series went under the early working title of “Gaia” before picking up the title of “Picnic” and then finally picking up “Missing 9.”
“Missing 9” will air sometime next year in South Korea.

As we mentioned earlier, ep.1 air date has been pushed back from October, 2016 to January, 2017 to allow the drama series to receive approval from China’s censorship board.
