Poster and release date for Disney+ drama “Low Life”

Launching poster and release date set for Disney+ drama series “Low Life” starring Ryu Seung-Ryong, Yang Se-Jong, and Lim Soo-Jung. The drama series is based on webcomic “Pain” by Yoon Tae-Ho (“Misaeng: Incomplete Life“), which is based on a true incident from 1970’s involving a sunken treasure ship. Caption on the launching poster states “In the year 1977, the scent of money arises from the waters of Shinan.”

“Low Life” will consist of 11 episodes and the first 3 episodes will premiere on July 16, 2025. 2 episodes per week will then follow until August 13, 2025.

Ji Sung, Park Hee-Soon, & Won Jin-A cast in MBC drama “Judge Lee Han-Young”

Ji Sung, Park Hee-Soon, & Won Jin-A are cast in MBC drama series “Judge Lee Han-Young” (literal title). The fantasy law drama series is based on 2018 web novel “Pansa Leehanyoung” by Lee Hae-Nal. In “Judge Lee Han-Young,” Ji Sung will play title character Judge Lee Han-Young. He is a corrupt judge, but when he decides to to change his way, he finds that he has traveled 10 years back into his past. He tries to punish evil by making new choices.

“Judge Lee Han-Young” will air sometime in the second half of this year in South Korea.

Jung Il-Woo, Jung In-Sun and Yoon Hyun-Min cast in KBS2 drama “Glamorous Days”

Jung Il-Woo, Jung In-Sun and Yoon Hyun-Min are cast in KBS2 drama series “Glamorous Days” (literal title). The weekend drama series is scripted by So Hyeon-Kyeong and directed by Kim Hyung-Suk. Screenwriter So Hyeon-Kyeong and Director Kim Hyung-Suk previously worked together in 2017 KBS2 drama series “My Golden Life.” The three leads will play friends who experience life as through trials and tribulations.

“Glamorous Days” will first air August, 2025 in South Korea (takes over KBS2’s Saturday and Sunday 8 PM time slot after “For Eagle Brothers“).

Yum Jung-Ah, Won Jin-A, Choi Young-Joon, & Kim Jin-Young are cast in ENA drama series “Child Shopping” (literal title). The thriller-action drama series is based on webcomic “Ayishopping” by Eom Se-Yoon & Ryu Ga-Myeong. For “Child Shopping,” Yum Jung-A will play villain Kim Se-Hee. She is a respected doctor, but she secretly runs an illegal child adoption agency. Won Jin-A will play Kim A-Hyeon. She was a victim of the illegal child adoption agency and she goes up against the group.

Yoon Kye-Sang, Jin Sun-Kyu, Kim Ji-Hyun, Ko Kyu-Pil, and Lee Jung-Ha are cast in Coung Play-Genie TV drama series “UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando” (literal title). Screenwriter Ban Ki-Ri (“Missing: The Other Side“) is credited as the series creator and the drama series will be directed by Jo Woong (“A Virtuous Business“). Story for “UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando” (literal title) will depict an action-comedy story involving residents of a neighborhood.

Filming for “UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando” will begin this month.

Park Bo-Young cast in Disney+ drama “Gold Land”

Park Bo-Young is cast for the lead role in Disney+ drama series “Gold Land.” Cast alongside Park Bo-Young are Lee Hyun-Wook, Kim Sung-Cheol, Kim Hee-Won, Moon Jeong-Hee, and Lee Kwang-Soo. Drama series is scripted by Hwang Jo-Yoon and directed by Kim Sung-Hoon. Screenwriter Hwang Jo-Yoon and Director Kim Sung-Hoon previously worked together in 2017 movie “Confidential Assignment.” Story for “Gold Land” will have Park Bo-Young play airport security screener Kim Hee-Ju. Due to her co-pilot boyfriend Lee Do-Kyeong (Lee Hyun-Wook), she accidentally receives gold that belongs to a smuggling organization.

“Gold Land” will be released sometime next year on Disney+.
