Teaser trailer for TVING drama “The King of Pigs”

First teaser trailer added for TVING drama series “The King of Pigs” starring Kim Dong-Wook, Kim Sung-Kyu, & Chae Jung-An. The drama series is based on 2011 animation film “The King of Pigs.” Narration in the teaser trailer has Kim Dong-Wook stating (0:13) “Jong-Suk, long time no see,” (0:15) “I’m Hwang Kyung-Min,” (0:16) “Have you been well?,” (0:24) “Do you remember that day?,” (0:29) “You should be with me.” 

Release date for “The King of Pigs” is now set for March 18, 2022 via TVING streaming platform in South korea.

Teaser poster & air date set for JTBC drama “My Liberation Diary”

Teaser poster and April, 2022 air date set for JTBC drama series “My Liberation Diary” (literal title) starring Lee Min-Ki & Kim Ji-Won. The teaser poster shows Kim Ji-Won, Lee Min-Ki, and Lee El standing inside the train and Lee Ki-Woo walking by in the foreground. Caption on the teaser poster states “It’s boring and normal. I want someone to save me.”

“My Liberation Diary” will slot into JTBC’s Saturday and Sunday 10:30 PM time slot after the conclusion of “Forecasting Love and Weather.”

Kang Ha-Neul cast in KBS2 drama “A Tree Dies Standing”

Actor Kang Ha-Neul is cast in KBS2 drama series “A Tree Dies Standing” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Yun Sang-Ho. Director Yun Sang-Ho and actor Kang Ha-Neul recently worked together in 2021 KBS2 drama series “River Where The Moon Rises.” Screenplay for “A Tree Dies Standing” will have Kang Ha-Neul play an obscure theater actor named Yoo Jae-Heon. He gets an offer to play the grandson of an old woman, who defected from North Korea.

Air date for “A Tree Dies Standing” has not yet been announced.

Park Ji-Hoon cast in Wavve drama “Weak Hero”

Park Ji-Hoon is cast in new Wavve drama series “Weak Hero” (literal title). The drama series is based on webcomic “Yakhanyoungwoong” by Seo Pae-Seu. For “Weak Hero,” Park Ji-Hoon will play protagonist Yeon Shi-Eun. His character is a high school student that appears weak, but has a high intelligence. He uses his smarts to fight against violence at his school.

“Weak Hero” will stream on Waave sometime in the second half of this year.

First script reading & air date set for KBS2 drama “The Speed Going to You 493km”

The first script reading for KBS2 drama series “The Speed Going to You 493km” (literal title), starring Park Ju-Hyun, Chae Jong-Hyeop, & Park Ji-Hyun, took place October, 2021 at KBS Annex Builing in Yeouido, Seoul. Attending the first script reading were main cast members Park Ju-Hyun, Chae Jong-Hyeop, Park Ji-Hyun, Kim Mu-Jun, Seo Ji-Hye, Jeon Bae-Su, Jo Han-Chul, In Gyo-Jin, Lee Seo-Hwan, Lee Ji-Hyun, Sung Ki-Yoon, Choi Seung-Yoon, Jo Soo-Hyang, Moon Dong-Hyeok, Kwon So-Hyun, Bin Chan-Uk, Jeon Hye-Won, Lee Chae-Min, Director Jo Woong, and Screenwriter Heo Sung-Hye. The drama series features a “sports-romance” script involving Park Tae-Yang (Park Ju-Hyun) and Park Tae-Joon (Chae Jong-Hyeop). They are both badminton athletes, but their approach to the sport is completely opposite.

“The Speed Going to You 493km” is now set to first air April, 2022 in South Korea (will slot into KBS2’s Wednesday & Thursday 9:30 PM time slot that was previously occupied by “School 2021“).

Teaser trailer #2 added for KBS2 drama series “Crazy Love” starring Kim Jae-Wook & Krystal. The teaser trailer show the two main characters No Go-Jin (Kim Jae-Wook) & Lee Shin-A (Krystal) dressed in wedding attire and standing in front of a wedding cake, but things get crazy. Narration goes (0:29) Kim Jae-Wook “Sweet, brutal, crazy romance” and (0:32) Krystal “Crazy Love.” Below are the first still images of Kim Jae-Wook in the drama series.

“Crazy Love” first airs March 7, 2022 in South Korea.

The drama series is a remake of 2011 animation film “The King of Pigs,” scripted and directed by Yeon Sang-Ho (“Train To Busan“). Hyun-Bin and Son Ye-Jin to marry March, 2022

According VAST Entertaintment, actor Hyun-Bin and actress Son Ye-Jin will marry March, 2022. They have made plans to have a small and private wedding ceremony, with only parents and a few close people to be in attendance. Specific date for their wedding has not been announced. VAST Entertainment, which represents actor Hyun-Bin, announced back on January 1, 2021 that Hyun-Bin and Son Ye-Jin were in a romantic relationship. The couple famously starred together in popular 2019 tvN drama series “Crash Landing on You,” which eventually led them to date each other.
