Koji Kikkawa cast in live-action film “Himitsu The Top Secret”

Koji Kikkawa is cast in upcoming live-action film “Himitsu The Top Secret” starring Toma Ikuta, Lisa Oda & Masaki Okada. In the upcoming film, Koji Kikkawa will play Kiyotaka Kainuma. His character is a brutal criminal who has killed 28 people and goes up against the 9th Forensics Laboratory led by Tsuyoshi Maki (Toma Ikuta) and Ikko Aoki (Masaki Okada). The still image above is of Koji Kikkawa from “Himitsu The Top Secret.” Movie is based on manga series “Himitsu The Top Secret” by Reiko Shimizu and directed by Keishi Ohtomo (“Rurouni Kenshin“). “Himitsu The Top Secret” will be released August 6, 2016 in Japan.

Teaser trailer for Miwa Nishikawa’s “Long Excuses”

Teaser trailer added for upcoming movie “Long Excuses” starring Masahiro Motoki, Pistol Takehara, Keiko Horiuchi & Eri Fukatsu. The movie is directed by Miwa Nishikawa (“Dear Doctor“/”Dreams for Sale“) and based on her 2015 original novel “Nagai Iiwake.” The film is Miwa Nishikawa’s 5th feature length directed film.

Story for “Long Excuses” follows a popular writer played by Masahiro Motoki and a truck driver played by Pistol Takehara. The popular writer loses his wife in a bus accident and has to act heart-broken, even though they did not love each other. The truck driver also lost his wife in the same bus accident and the writer on a whim offers to take care of his two children.

“Long Excuses” will be released October 14, 2016 in Japan.

Main trailer for movie “Godzilla Resurgence”

Main trailer added for upcoming movie “Godzilla Resurgence” starring Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi & Satomi Ishihara. Movie is directed by Shinji Higuchi (“Attack on Titan“). The film has also announced 325 more cast members with notable performers like Kengo Kora, Ren Osugi, Akira Emoto, Mikako Ichikawa, Kimiko Yo, Jun Kunimura, Pierre Taki, Takumi Saito, Arata Furuta, Atsuko Maeda, Takahiro Miura, Shinya Tsukamoto & Suzuki Matsuo all set to appear in the film. The main trailer also displays Godzilla’s full body for the first time.

“Godzilla Resurgence” stomps its way to the Japanese box-office beginning July 29, 2016.

Hiroshi Abe cast in movie “Shippu Rondo”

Hiroshi Abe is cast in upcoming movie “Shippu Rondo.” The movie is based on 2013 novel of same name by popular mystery writer Keigo Higashino and directed by Teruyuki Yoshida (“Japanese Salaryman NEO“).

Story for the film revolves around a stolen secret biological weapon from a university lab. Hiroshi Abe will play Kazuyuki Kuribayashi. His character works at the lab and he is tasked for a mission to retrieve the biological weapon. Filming for “Shippu Rondo” began February 24, 2016 and the movie will be released November 26, 2016 in Japan.

Poster and main trailer added for movie  “Anger” starring Ken Watanabe, Aoi Miyazaki, Kenichi Matsuyama, Satoshi Tsumabuki, Gou Ayano and directed by Sang-il Lee (“Villain“). The poster features the 7 main actors and actors which are Ken Watanabe, Aoi Miyazaki, Kenichi Matsuyama , Satoshi Tsumabuki , Gou Ayano, Suzu Hirose and Mirai Moriyama.
