Sho Sakurai, Suzu Hirose and Sota Fukushi cast in movie “Laplace’s Witch”

Sho Sakurai (‘Arashi’), Suzu Hirose and Sota Fukushi are cast in new movie “Laplace’s Witch” (literal title). The film is based on Keigo Higashino‘s 80th novel “Rapurasu no Majo” and directed by Takashi Miike. The upcoming film is setup as a science mystery with two poisoning deaths taking place near two different hot springs in Japan. Professor & geochemist Shusuke Aoe is tasked to find out whether the deaths occurred naturally or were murders. Suzu Hirose will play Madoka Uhara. She appears when Shusuke Aoe examines the cases.  Sota Fukushi will play Kento Amakasu. He is a mysterious young man who went missing and connected with Madoka Uhara.

“Laplace’s Witch” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
