Ryo Nishikido (‘Kanjani Eight’) is cast for the lead role in upcoming live-action film “Hitsuji no Ki.” Also cast in supporting roles for the film are Fumino Kimura, Kazuki Kitamura, Yuka, Mikako Ichikawa, Shingo Mizusawa, Min Tanaka and Ryuhei Matsuda. Movie is based on the manga series “Hitsuji no Ki” by Tatsuhiko Yamagami and directed by Daihachi Yoshida (“The Kirishima Thing“).
In the upcoming film, Ryo Nishikido will play Hajime Tsukisue. His character works as a city employee in the decaying port city of Uobuka. Six strangers move into the city and Hajime Tsukisue is tasked with welcoming to the city. The strangers carry a strange vibe about them. Hajime Tsukisue learns that the strangers are ex-prisoners, all convicted of murder and released under a new government parole system.
Filming for “Hitsuji no Ki” will begin October, 2016 and the movie is scheduled to be released sometime during 2018 in Japan.
