Two teaser posters and release date set for movie “The Journey to Gyeongju” starring Lee Jung-Eun, Kong Hyo-Jin, Park So-Dam, and Lee Yeon. The film is set up as a black comedy crime thriller set around a mother and her three daughters as they take a road trip to take revenge upon a person responsible for the death of their family member. Caption on the left poster states “Kidnap the murderer” and caption on the right poster states “The trip was an alibi, the purpose was to take revenge. Kidnap the murderer.”
“The Journey to Gyeongju” is now set for release August 26, 2026 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Eight years have passed since Ok-Sil’s (Lee Jung-Eun) youngest daughter Gyeong-Joo was killed on a school trip and never returned home. Ok-Sil and her remaining three daughters Jang-Joo (Kong Hyo-Jin), Young-Joo (Park So-Dam) and Dong-Joo (Lee Yeon) decide to go on a road trip to Gyeongju. Their purpose is to take revenge upon the culprit after his release from prison.
