Haruka Ayase cast in movie “Hito wa Naze Love Letter wo Kaku noka”

Haruka Ayase is cast for the lead role in movie “Hito wa Naze Love Letter wo Kaku noka.” The film is scripted by and directed by Yuya Ishii (“The Great Passage“) and also based on a true story. Also cast for the film are Ami Touma , Kanata Hosoda, Satoshi Tsumabuki , Masaki Suda , Koichi Sato , Takuma Otoo, Miu Tomita, Hideyuki Kasahara, Kanji Tsuda, and Hideko Hara. Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: 24 years ago, 17-year-old high school student Nazuna Terada (Ami Touma) has feelings for a high school student who she sees everyday on the train, but she doesn’t even know his name. Shinsuke Tomihisa (Kanata Hosoda) is a 17-year-old student. He attends a prestigious high school and hopes to become a professional boxer. On March 8, 2000, a subway derailment accident takes place. Shinsuke Tomihisa happens to be on that train, which is running at a different time than his usual schedule. He dies in that accident. Nazuna Terada sees news coverage about the accident and recognizes Shinsuke Tomihisa’s photo from the broadcast. She now knows Shinsuke Tomihisa is the name of the boy that she holds feelings for.

In 2024, Nazuna Terada (Haruka Ayase) lives in the suburbs with her husband Ryoichi Terada (Satoshi Tsumabuki) and their daughter. She runs her own restaurant. Due to an occasion, she begins to write a letter, reminiscing about her days related to Shinsuke Tomihisa. The late Shinsuke Tomihisa’s father Ryuji Tomihisa (Koichi Sato) receives the letter from Nazuna Terada.
