Nao Omori, Masaki Aiba, & Nao Matsushita are cast in TV Asahi drama series “Daitsuiseki.” The drama series is scripted by Yasushi Fukuda (“Galileo“) and will be directed by Naomi Tamura, Keisuke Toyoshima, & Takashi Komatsu. Story for “Daitsuiseki” will be set at the newly created SSBC violent crimes unit. The department provides support for the First Criminal Investigation Division by analyzing CCTV footage, examining cellphones and computers, and criminal profiling.
“Daitsuiseki” will first air July 9, 2025 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: The SSBC (Sousa Sien Bunseki Center), also known as the Crime Support and Analysis Center, has a newly established violent crimes department. Their job is to collect and analyze CCTV footage, smartphones, computers, and profile criminals. They provide specialized support for the First Criminal Investigation Division. The SSBC violent crimes unit includes Shuji Igaki (Nao Omori) and Rintaro Nanami (Masaki Aiba). Shuji Igaki is a former detective from the First Investigative Division, but he was transferred three years ago after causing trouble there. He has a strong sense of justice and he is not happy with his work in the SSBC violent crimes unit, where he can’t handcuff or directly interrogate criminals. His ex-wife is Haruka Aoyagi (Nao Matsushita), who is the chief of the First Criminal Investigation Division. Rintaro Nanami previously worked for a foreign securities company, before transferring to the National Police Agency. He is intelligent and very good with numbers. As he learns from Shuji Igaki, they begin to work effectively as a team.
