Kaito Takahashi & Tomoya Nakamura is cast in TBS drama series “DOPE.” The drama series is based on novel “DOPE: Mayaku Torishimaribu Tokusoka” by Chiaki Kisaki, with screenplay adaptation written by Shinichi Tanaka (“The Men of the Wada Family“), and director Kosuke Suzuki (“Hustlin Boy“). Background of the drama series is set in the near future, when a new drug known as DOPE becomes rampant. Two members, played by Kaito Takahashi & Tomoya Nakamura, of the Special Investigation Unit of the Narcotics Control Department work together to eradicate the drug.
“DOPE” will first air July, 2025 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in the near future, when a new drug becomes rampant in Japan. Yuto Saiki (Kaito Takahashi) saw his mother become addicted to the drug. Due to his experience, he has become a rookie narcotics agent to eradicate drugs. One day, he is suddenly transferred to the highly secretive Special Investigation Unit of the Narcotics Control Department. The department’s existence is not even known by the general public. At the Special Investigation Unit, he teams up with Teppei Jinnai (Tomoya Nakamura). Even though they have totally different ways of thinking, they solve mysterious cases together caused by dope.
