The company is on the verge of bankruptcy and an employee (Lee Je-Hoon) from a foreign investment company approaches them in hopes to make a deal. Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: In 1997, while South Korea experienced extreme economic turbulence due to the IMF crisis, Kukbo Soju is on the verge of bankruptcy. The company conquered the soju market due to its unparalleled taste. Choi In-Beom (Lee Je-Hoon) is an employee for a global investment company. He has been paying attention to Kukbo Soju and approaches the company with the aim of selling the company. Pyo Jong-Rok (Yu Hae-Jin) is a finance director of Kukbo Soju and he has devoted his whole life to the company. Pyo Jong-Rok makes moves according to his strong will to save the company.
