Ai Hashimoto and Taishi Nakagawa are cast in movie “As for Me.” The film is based on 2012 novel “Wasejo, Onna, Otoko” by Asako Yuzuki (“The Hotel of My Dream“) and directed by Hitoshi Yazaki (“Sweet Little Lies“). Movie “As for Me” is setup as a young adult love story between two people that have dated for 10 years.
“As for Me” will be released March, 2025 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kanako Saotome (Ai Hashimoto) enters a university and begins to live with her two friends. During the university entrance ceremony, she meets Keishi Nagatsuta (Taishi Nakagawa), whose dream is to become a screenwriter for the theater club. Their relationship develops into a romantic relationship. After Kanako Saotome graduates from the university, she gets a job at a big publishing company and pursues her dream of working as an editor, but Keishi Nagatsuta is different. He is all talk and he has never finished his screenplay. He doesn’t appear to be graduating from the university any time soon either. There’s suspicion that Keishi Nagatsuta is cheating on her with a first year student who joined the theater club. At that time, Kanako Saotome receives a confession from her co-worker Yoshizawa. Kanako Saotome and Keishi Nagatsuta gradually begin to drift apart. It has been 10 years since they first met … and is their love between them?
