Riku Hagiwara and Yuumi Kawai are cast in romance film “She Taught Me Serendipity.” The movie is based on novel “Kyo no Sora ga Ichiban Suki, to Mada Ienai Boku wa” by comedian Shusuke Fukutoku and directed by Akiko Ohku (“Tokyo Serendipity“). For director Akiko Ohku, “She Taught Me Serendipity” is her first directed romance film told from the viewpoint of the male protagonist.
“She Taught Me Serendipity” will be released April, 2025 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Toru Konishi’s (Riku Hagiwara) university life is going far from what he imagined. He spends dull days hanging out with his only friend at school and cleaning a bathhouse for part-time work. One day, he sees Hana Sakurada (Yuumi Kawai) in a classroom and he is captivated by her dignified appearance with her hair in a bun. He talks to her and their relationship develops romantically, but a shocking incident, that changes their lives, strikes them.
