Release date and main poster added for movie “Because I Hate Korea” starring Ko Ah-Sung. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Hankookyi Sileoseo” by Jang Kang-Myeong and held its world premiere as the opening film for the 2023 Busan International Film Festival. Caption on the poster states “I decided to start anew to find happiness.”
“Because I Hate Korea” will be released August 28, 2024 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kye-Na (Ko Ah-Sung) decides to leave South Korea for two reasons: “I hate Korea” and “I can’t live here.” She leaves behind her job, family, and boyfriend, to go to New Zealand and find her own happiness.
