First teaser trailer added for comedy live-action film “Saint Young Men” starring Kenichi Matsuyama and Shota Sometani. The film is based on manga series “Saint Oniisan” by Hikaru Nakamura and directed by Yuichi Fukuda (“Black Night Parade“). For the film, Kenichi Matsuyama will play Jesus and Shota Sometani will play Buddha. They enjoy life together in Tokyo, when trouble suddenly brews.
“Saint Young Men” will be released December 20, 2024 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: The son of God, Jesus (Kenichi Matsuyama), who survived the end of the century, and Buddha (Shota Sometani), who attained enlightenment, enjoy the four seasons of Japan. They decide to form the comedy duo Panchi to Ronge. One day, while they are enjoying relaxing times, an uninvited guest visits them and tells them some shocking news. This soon leads to an unpredictable battle between Gods, Buddhas, Angels, and Demons.
