Narration in the main trailer starts with Koo Kyo-Hwan stating “Kyu-Nam, you are not the kind of person that can escape” and then at the 11 second mark “I know that you accept the fate given to you.” At the 23 second mark, Hong Sa-Bin asks “You’re going to South Korea aren’t you?.” Lee Je-Hoon at the 30 second mark states “You must be crazy from starvation” and (0:34) “Now is not the right time.” The trailer ends with Koo Kyo-Hwan stating (1:19) “No one can escape from here” and Lee Je-Hoon stating (1:35) “I have decided my future.”
“Escape” will be released July 3, 2024 in South Korea.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Im Kyu-Nam (Lee Je-Hoon) is a North Korean soldier. He dreams of starting a new life in South Korea. To accomplish his dream, he must flee his home country and cross the DMZ. Meanwhile, Officer Ri Hyun-Sang (Koo Kyo-Hwan) of the State Security Department of North Korea chases after Im Kyu-Nam.
