Kasumi Arimura cast in Fuji TV drama series “Umi no Hajimari” co-starring Ren Meguro. Drama series is based on an original screenplay by Miku Ubukata (“My Beloved Flower“).”Umi no Hajimari” will have Kasumi Arimura return to Fuji TV’s 9PM time for the first time since 2016 drama series “Love That Makes You Cry.” In the upcoming drama serise, Kasumi Arimura will play Yayoi Momose. She is dating Natsu Tsukioka (Ren Meguro) and must deal with her own feelings when her boyfriends learns that he has a young daughter from a relationship 7 years ago.
“Umi no Hajimari” will first air July, 2024 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Natsu Tsukioka (Ren Meguro) is single and 28 years old. He works for a printing company in Tokyo. One day, Natsu Tsukioka hears that Mizuki Nagumo died. They were in a romantic relationship when they attended the same university. They broke up after Mizuki Nagumo suddenly told him that she wanted to end their relationship and she disappeared afterwards. He didn’t hear anything about her for the past 7 years after their breakup. Natsu Tsukioka attends Mizuki Nagumo’s funeral and there he meets a young child named Umi (Rana Izutani). He is surprised to learn that Umi is Mizuki Nagumo’s daughter. Mizuki Nagumo’s mother talks to him and tells him that Umi is his daughter.
