Tsuyoshi Domoto is cast for the lead role in movie “Maru.” The quirky film is written and directed by Naoko Ogigami (“Close-Knit“). In the film, Tsuyoshi Domoto will play Sawada, who loses his job as an artist assistant and becomes obsessed with the O shape. A teaser trailer and two teaser posters has also been released for the film. Caption on the teaser posters states “One day suddenly, O came to me.”
“Maru” will be released October, 2024 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Sawada (Tsuyoshi Domoto) graduated from an art college, but he has not been able to establish himself as an artist. He now works as an assistant to a popular contemporary artist. Along the way, Sawada has lost the will to become an artist on his own and he has become used to taking orders from the contemporary artist. One day, Sawada gets into an accident and he loses his job due to the injury he got from the accident. Since then he becomes obsessed with the O shape.
