Shota Watanabe is cast for the lead role in NTV live-action drama series “Sensei Sayounara.” The drama series is based on manga series “Sensei Sayounara” by Yasuko (“Southern Beach Love Story“). Shota Watanabe, who is a member of boy band Snow Man, will play high school teacher Takuro Tamura. The screenplay will depict a love story that takes place in the present day and also when Takuro Tamura was a high school student. Meanwhile, the theme song for the drama series has been revealed as “We’ll Go Together” by Snow Man.
“Sensei Sayounara” will first air January, 2024 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: A love story that takes place in the present day and in the past. Takuro Tamura is 27-years-old and works as an art teacher at a high school. He is popular among the students. Yayoi is one of his students in his homeroom class. She spends her days without a goal in her life. Takuro Tamura recommends to her to join the art club. One day, Yayoi happens to see Takuro Tamura’s sketchbook. The sketchbook contains countless sketches of a woman that Yayoi doesn’t know. That woman is Yumiko. Yumiko was Takuro Tamura’s Japanese language teacher and his homeroom teacher when he was a 17-year-old high school student. He loved his homeroom teacher.
