Yuumi Kawai cast in movie “An no Koto”

Yuumi Kawai is cast in movie “An no Koto.” The film is written and directed by Yu Irie (“Vigilante“) and based on a true story that Yu Irie read about in a June, 2020 newspaper article. In the movie, Yuumi Kawai will play An. She grew up in a very difficult environment and became addicted to drugs. She then met some people who gave her hope with their kindness.

“An no Koto” will be released June 7, 2024 in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: An (Yuumi Kawai) was born and raised by a dysfunctional family. She was abused by her own family and became addicted to drugs. She finds hope by meeting warm-hearted people like a detective and a magazine journalist. She is touched their kindness without conditions. An slowly opens her mind to them, but, just as she sees a glimmer of hope in her life, the cold, brutal reality of her life hits her again.
