Kyoko Saito is cast for her first starring role in TV Asahi drama series “Nukarumi no Shokutaku.” The drama series is based on webcomic “Nukarumi no Shokutaku” by Inako. Kyoko Saito, who is a member of idol group Hinatazaka46, will play lead character Mia Nejiki. She is a young woman who is involved in an affair with the manager at her supermarket workplace.
“Nukarumi no Shokutaku” will first air October 21, 2023 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Mia Nejiki (Kyoko Saito) is a young woman with low self-esteem. While growing up, she suffered from physical abuse by her father. After he passed away, her life did not get better because of her mother with her strong suppressing personality. Mia Nejiki now works as a clerk at supermarket. She is having an affair with the manager at the supermarket. She is in love with her manager who treats her kindly for the first time in her life. But, her manager suddenly informs her that he is ending their affair due to his wife’s depression worsening. Mia Nejiki falls into despair. She doesn’t think she can be happy without him and decides to take action. She will cure his wife’s depression.
