Koichi Sato and Ryusei Yokohama cast in movie “Haru ni Chiru”

Koichi Sato and Ryusei Yokohama are cast in boxing film “Haru ni Chiru.” The movie is based on 2017 novel “Haru ni Chiru” by Kotaro Sawaki and directed by Takahisa Zeze (“64“). The film will have Koichi Sato play former boxer Jinichi Hirooka. He begins to coach a young boxer played by Ryusei Yokohama, whom he meets in a bar and knocks him down first.

“Haru ni Chiru” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Jinichi Hirooka (Koichi Sato) is a former boxer. He lost a boxing match by an unfair decision and he then moved to the United States. After 40 years, he returns to Japan and happens to meet Shogo Kuroki (Ryusei Yokohama) in a bar. Shogo Kuroki is a boxer, who is going through a hard time, because he also lost a mach due to an unfair decision. Soon, Shogo Kuroki gets knocked down by Jinichi Hirooka for the first time in his life. He then practically begs Jinichi Hirooka to coach him in boxing. Jinichi Hirooka accepts his offer and they eventually work together to win a world championship belt.
