Yeo Jin-Goo & Cho Yi-Hyun are cast for lead roles in remake film “Ditto.” Also cast for the movie are Kim Hye-Yoon, Na In-Woo, & Bae In-Hyuk. The film is a remake of 2000 movie “Ditto” starring Yoo Ji-Tae & Kim Ha-Neul. The romance-fantasy film involves two college students, from different time periods, communicating with each other. Yeo Jin-Goo will play Yong in the 1990’s. Cho Yi-Hyun will play Mu-Nee in the present day. Movie will be directed by Seo Eun-Young (“Overman“).
Filming for “Ditto” will begin May, 2022 and the movie is expected to be released May, 2023.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: In the late 1990s, Yong (Yeo Jin-Goo) studies mechanical engineering at a university. He first entered the school in 1995, but took time off to perform his mandatory military service. After finishing his military service, he came back to school as a student. His first love is Han-Sol (Kim Hye-Yoon).
Yong then somehow communicates with Mu-Nee (Cho Yi-Hyun). Mu-Nee lives in the present day. She enrolled at her university in 2021 and majors in sociology. Yong and Mu-Nee, who are from different time periods, communicate and their story unfolds.
