Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Yes, I Can’t Swim” starring Hiroki Hasegawa & Haruka Ayase. Movie is based on 2005 novel “Hai, Oyogemasen” by Hidemine Takahashi and directed by Kensaku Watanabe (“Cheer Cheer Cheer!“). The teaser trailer begins with Hiroki Hasegawa stating “What happens if I fall into the water?” Haruka Ayase then states “I will save you.” The film has Hiroki Hasegawa playing a professor, who can’t swim. Haruka Ayase plays a swimming instructor, who gets the professor to take swimming lessons.
“Yes, I Can’t Swim” is now set for release June 10, 2022 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Yuji Takanashi (Hiroki Hasegawa) teaches philosophy at a university. He has a fear of water and is unable to swim. His phobia is so strong that he is afraid to even dip his face into water. One day, circumstances leads Yuji Takanashi to attend a swimming class taught by Shizuka Usuhara (Haruka Ayase). Yuji Takanashi takes lessons with energetic housewives at Shizuka Usuhara’s swimming class. Shizuka Usuhara cheers Yuji Takanashi to learn swimming, but it’s not easy for Yuji Takanashi to overcome his fear of water.
