Kang Ha-Neul cast in KBS2 drama “A Tree Dies Standing”

Actor Kang Ha-Neul is cast in KBS2 drama series “A Tree Dies Standing” (literal title). The drama series will be directed by Yun Sang-Ho. Director Yun Sang-Ho and actor Kang Ha-Neul recently worked together in 2021 KBS2 drama series “River Where The Moon Rises.” Screenplay for “A Tree Dies Standing” will have Kang Ha-Neul play an obscure theater actor named Yoo Jae-Heon. He gets an offer to play the grandson of an old woman, who defected from North Korea.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Yoo Jae-Heon (Kang Ha-Neul) works as an actor for a local theater troupe. Even though he comes from a poor background, he is a bright and optimistic person with high self-esteem. His motto is to do what you want. One day, an old gentleman asks Yoo Jae-Heon to play the grandson of an old woman. The old woman’s grandson defected from North Korea. This changes Yoo Jae-Heon’s life.
