Teaser trailer and poster added for movie “Yagate Umi e to Todoku” starring Yukino Kishii & Minami Hamabe. Movie is based on 2016 novel “Yagate Umi e to Todoku” by Maru Ayase and directed by Ryutaro Nakagawa (“Mio on the Shore“). Captions in the teaser trailer state (0:05) “Friend who, one day, suddenly disappeared,” and (0:16) “Trip to find missing friend.”
“Yagate Umi e to Todoku” is now scheduled for release April 1, 2022 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Mana (Yukino Kishii) was friends with Sumire (Minami Hamabe) for years. She admired Sumire’s freewheeling ways and mysterious charm, but Sumire broke off connections with her. Later, Mana hears of Sumire’s death. Mana cannot get over Sumire’s death.
