Lim Soo-Hyang & Sung Hoon are cast for lead roles in new drama series “From Today We Are” (literal title of “Oneulbuteo Woorineun”). Also cast in the drama series are Shin Dong-Wook & Hong Ji-Yoon. The drama series is a remake of U.S. television series “Jane the Virgin,” that aired on The CW from 2014 to 2019. In “From Today We Are,” Lim Soo-Hyang will play lead female character Oh Woo-Ri. She hopes to keep her virginity until she marries, but she gets accidentally pregnant due to an accidental artificial insemination by a doctor. Sung Hoon will play Raphael. He is the biological father of Oh Woo-Ri’s baby.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Oh Woo-Ri (Lim Soo-Hyang) works as an assistant writer on a popular drama series. Even though she is dating Detective Lee Gang-Jae (Shin Dong-Wook), she wants to keep her virginity until she marries. Her boyfriend accepts her wish. One day, Oh Woo-Ri goes to an OB-GYN for a regular checkup. Due to her doctor’s mistake, Oh Woo-Ri gets pregnant through artificial insemination. The biological father of Oh Woo-Ri’s baby is Raphael (Sung Hoon). He is the CEO of a cosmetics company. He gives off the impression that he is cold, but, in his mind, he is a romanticist and wants to meet a person he loves. His reality is different. He is married to Lee Ma-Ri (Hong Ji-Yoon). She intentionally approached him and married him. Love is nothing in her life.

The US show itself is actually a remake itself of some telenovela.
But it’s great they are the stars of this drama. New tales of gisaeng was one of the first dramas I watched after really diving into this world and they had great chemistry, despite not getting much time to show it. The drama ended up being screwed up big time, but I still remember crying with them, when he crashed her tying hair ceremony. And I’m a cynic, I only cry, when characters die.
