Masaki Okada and Haruna Kawaguchi are cast for lead roles in movie “The Cursed Sanctuary X” (working title). Movie is based on play “Seichi X” by Tomohiro Maekawa and directed by Yu Irie (“8000 Miles“). Filming for the movie has already completed and took place in South Korea over a 1 month period. Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for the film has been added on AsianWiki. The genre of the movie is horror/mystery, with Masaki Okada and Haruna Kawaguchi playing siblings.
“The Cursed Sanctuary X” will be released autumn, 2021 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kaname (Haruna Kawaguchi) is sick of her marriage life with her husband and she decides to divorce him. She leaves Japan and travels to South Korea. There, she visits her brother Teruo’s (Masaki Okada) villa. Teruo is surprised by Kaname’s sudden visit. But after he hears of her marriage life, he lets her to stay with him. Somehow, Teruo and Kaname happen to enter The Cursed Sanctuary X.
