Main trailer added for movie “I Don’t Have Any Money Left in My Retirement Account” (literal title) starring Yuki Amami. Movie is based on 2015 novel “Rogo no Shikin ga Arimasen” by Miu Kakiya and directed by Tetsu Maeda (“A Banana? At This Time of Night?“). The film follows a housewife (Yuki Amami) in a situation that leads her to reduce her retirement account significantly. She agonizes over her situation.
“I Don’t Have Any Money Left in My Retirement Account” will be released October 30, 2021 in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Atsuko (Yuki Amami) is an ordinary housewife. She is married to Akira and they have a daughter and son. Atsuko saves money for their retirement from her husband’s salary and her earnings from part-time work. She is thrifty when it comes to money. Atsuko believes her life will be peaceful after retirement, but things change. She has to spend money on her daughter Mayumi’s wedding and her father-in-law’s funeral. Their retirement savings is reduced significantly. Making things even worse, Atsuko and her husband lose their jobs.
