First trailer for movie “Escape from Mogadishu”

First trailer for movie “Escape from Mogadishu” starring Kim Yun-Seok & Zo In-Sung. The movie is inspired by a real life incident that occurred in Mogadishu, Somali during its civil war in 1991. Officials from South Korea and North Korea had to work together to flee Mogadishu when fierce fighting broke out. Captions in the trailer states (0:14) “Year 1991, Somalia,” (0:39) “In the middle of a civil war,” (0:45) “Isolated People,” (1:02) “Must,” (1:11) “Go Back.” Above and below are the first 11 still images from the movie and a teaser poster.

“Escape from Mogadishu” will be released July 28, 2021 in South Korea.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Han Shin-Sung (Kim Yun-Seok) works as an ambassador at the South Korean Embassy in Mogadishu, Somalia. A civil war breaks out in the country. Han Shin-Sung, his wife, and embassy officials are trapped in the embassy building. Meanwhile, Kang Dae-Jin (Zo In-Sung) works as a councilor at the North Korean Embassy in Mogadishu. The North Korean Embassy experiences the same threat of violence as the South Korean Embassy. Han Shin-Sung and Kang Dae-Jin work together to get people from both embassies out of Somalia.
