Eita Nagayama and Osamu Mukai are cast in NHK drama series “Bakumatsu Aiboden.” The drama series is set during Bakumatsu, which is the later years of the Edo period. Eita Nagayama and Osamu Mukai will play two men tasked with finding the person who attempted to murder the shogun. The drama series is based on 2008 novel “Aibo” by Takahisa Igarashi.
“Bakumatsu Aiboden” will air January, 2022 in Japan.

Ryoma Sakamoto (Eita Nagayama) and Toshizo Hijikata (Osamu Mukai) receive a secret mission from a senior statesman. Their mission is to find the person who attempted to kill the shogun and they are given only 2 days to complete their mission. While sometimes having conflicts and sometimes cooperating with each other, Ryoma Sakamoto and Toshizo Hijikata try to find the person who attempted to kill the shogun.
