Ha Jung-Woo, Hwang Jung-Min, Jo Woo-Jin, Yoo Yeon-Seok and Park Hae-Soo are all cast in Netflix drama series “Suriname” (working title). Also making his drama series directorial debut is Yoon Jong-Bin. He previously worked with Ha Jung-Woo and Hwang Jung-Min in his movies like “Nameless Gangster: Rules of The Time” and “The Spy Gone North.” The screenplay is based on true events and will revolve around the drug trade with Ha Jung-Woo playing Kang In-Gu and Hwang Jung-Min playing drug king Jeon Yo-Hwan. Jo Woo-Jin will plays Byeon Ki-Tae. He works for drug king Jeon Yo-Hwan. Yoo Yeon-Seok will play David Park. He is the legal advisor to Jeon Yo-Hwan. Park Hae-Soo will play Choi Chang-Ho. He is the team leader for the U.S branch of the South Korean NIS. He works with Kang In-Gu to catch drug king Jeon Yo-Hwan.
“Suriname” will stream on Netflix, but release date has not yet been decided.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kang In-Gu (Ha Jung-Woo) begins his business in the South American country of Suriname. He is thrust into a situation, which he must cooperate with the South Korean NIS to catch Jeon Yo-Hwan (Hwang Jung-Min). He is known as a drug king, who runs his drug-smuggling operation out of Suriname.
