Gong Yoo has been offered the lead male role in Netflix drama series “The Sea of Tranquility.” If Gong-Yoo accepts his offer, he will play Yoon-Jae. He is a soldier and works for a space agency. Actress Bae Doo-Na has already received an offer to play the lead female role. Gong Yoo and Bae Doo-Na are currently considering their offers. Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in the future, when the planet suffers from a lack of water and food caused by desertification. Yoon-Jae is a soldier for the space agency. He is selected for a team, including Ji-An, to travel to the moon. Their mission is to retrieve a mysterious sample from an abandoned research station.
“The Sea of Tranquility” will consist of 8 episodes and filming is currently scheduled to start August, 2020.
